The roads onto the Bukit are slow in the late afternoon, so the hour before the show is also your buffer. On our trip, the day is planned around the show and you do not need to watch the clock.

Light rain often does not stop the show; heavy rain can. If the show is cancelled, its ticket is refunded.

What time is the Kecak dance at Uluwatu?
The show starts at 18:00 and lasts about an hour. A second show starts at 19:00. We plan the first one, with the sunset.
When should we get there?
By about 17:00, an hour before the show. Seats are first come, first served, and the late-afternoon traffic to Uluwatu is often slow.
What if it rains?
Light rain often does not stop the show; heavy rain can. If the show is cancelled, its ticket is refunded and your driver-guide takes you to Garuda Wisnu Kencana at the same hour.

Bukit Cliffs, Beaches and the Fire Dance
The classic south Bali afternoon: two very different beaches, the cliff temple at Uluwatu, and the kecak fire dance as the sun drops into the sea. Short drives between everything, so there is time to swim as well as look.
