We collect as little as we can, use it only to run your trip, and never sell it. This page says exactly what that means.
Who is responsible
balitravelagents.com, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, is responsible for the personal data on this site. For anything on this page, write to us at info@balitravelagents.com.
Account data
When you create an account we store your name, email address, an optional phone number, your chosen language and display currency, and an encrypted form of your password. We use it to sign you in, show your bookings and write to you about them.
Signing in with Google
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us your name, email address and whether that address is verified. We never see your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing else. You can remove the connection at any time from your account page.
Booking data
A booking holds your date and pickup time, your pickup address and its map coordinates, the number of guests, the stops you chose, a contact phone number, and any notes you give us such as dietary requirements. Your driver-guide sees what they need to collect you and drive your trip.
We keep booking records for as long as Indonesian tax and bookkeeping law requires, even after you delete your account. At that point they no longer carry your name, email address or phone number.
Maps and pickup search
The maps on this site and the search for your pickup place are provided by Google. Google receives what you type into the pickup search, the map views you load, and your pin's location when you set one, and processes them under its own privacy policy.
Of that, we keep only Google's place ID for the pickup place you choose, and your own pin's coordinates if you set one. We do not store the names or addresses Google suggests.
Photos from your trip
Your driver-guide takes photos during the trip and uploads them so we can send them to you. Only you, your driver-guide and our staff can open them, and the links we use expire.
We never use a photo that shows you in our marketing without asking you first, by email, and you can say no or withdraw your permission at any time by writing to us.
Driver and company documents
People who drive for us upload their ID, driving licence, car papers and photos of the car. We look at them only to check them before they drive a guest.
If we reject an application, the documents are deleted 90 days after the decision. If we accept it, we keep them while the driver works with us and delete them when that ends.
Who else sees your data
- Mailgun, which delivers our email. It processes your email address and the contents of the messages we send you.
- Vultr Object Storage, where photos and documents are stored, in a private bucket.
- Google Maps and the Google Routes service, which we ask for directions and travel times between your stops. Your pickup address is part of that request.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
- The transport company running your trip, when your driver-guide works through one, and only the details needed to drive it.
- Our payment provider, when you pay online. We never store your card number.
Some of these providers are outside Indonesia, which means your data travels abroad. We share it only for the purposes above, and we never sell it or hand it to advertisers.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security cookie to protect forms from misuse, and a small cookie remembering your language and display currency. We run no advertising or analytics trackers.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details on your account page, and delete your account there once you have no trip coming up. Deleting removes your name, email address and phone number.
You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete something, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we answer within 30 days.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and photos and documents sit in a private bucket reachable only through links that expire. Only the staff who need access have it.
Children
This site is for adults booking a trip. Children travel as guests on a booking made by an adult, and we hold nothing about them beyond the number of seats and anything you tell us, such as an allergy.
Changes
When this notice changes we update the date at the top, and we tell account holders by email if the change is important.
