Leke Leke Waterfall
about 90 minutes
A narrow fall in a deep green slot of jungle, reached on a bamboo path and a small bridge, about fifteen minutes each way. Photogenic and rarely busy. The pool is shallow, so this is a look rather than a swim.

Pura Luhur Batukaru
about 60 minutes
A temple in the rainforest on the slope of Bali's second mountain, wet, mossy and almost always empty. One of the nine directional temples of the island. Cold and dim under the canopy even at midday.

Jatiluwih Rice Terrace
about 120 minutes
Six hundred hectares of terraces on the slope of Mount Batukaru, listed by UNESCO and still farmed by the subak system. Marked walking loops run from twenty minutes to two hours through the fields. Much wider and much quieter than Tegallalang.
