The Easy South Coast

The Easy South Coast

Rp 1.800.000 for 2 guests · Rp 900.000 per person from Rp 600.000 per person for 4

South Bali · Sightseeing · 4 stops · about 8.5 hours

A gentle day with very little walking and no steep stairs: the calm beach path at Sanur, the history museum inside Denpasar's monument, the blowhole at Nusa Dua and the cultural park above Jimbaran. A good first day, and a good one with children.

The trip, stop by stop

  1. Sanur Beach Walk

    about 60 minutes

A flat paved path runs for kilometres behind a reef-protected beach, past fishing boats and old banyan trees. Calm water and no surf, so it is the easy swim in the south. Sunrise here faces east over the water.

    Rain plan If it rains:

  2. Bajra Sandhi Monument

    about 60 minutes

Denpasar's monument to the Balinese struggle for independence, shaped like a priest's bell and set in a big public park. Inside, dioramas run through the island's history and a staircase climbs to a view over the city. Indoors, so a good rainy-day swap.

  3. Nusa Dua Water Blow

    about 45 minutes

A gap in the coral rock where the swell hits and throws a wall of spray over the viewing deck. Ten quiet minutes of watching the sea do its work, plus a paved garden walk along the point. Expect to get a little wet on a big swell.

    Rain plan If it rains:

  4. Garuda Wisnu Kencana

    about 90 minutes

Your driver waits outside here; you go in on your own.

A cultural park built around a vast statue of Vishnu riding the bird Garuda, standing over a plaza cut from limestone. Dance performances run through the day on a set timetable. Mostly paved and shaded in parts, so it works in any weather.

This trip uses 4 of your 4 slots. Lunch is a stop too, but it does not use a slot.
