Rp 3.300.000 for 2 guests · Rp 1.650.000 per person from Rp 1.350.000 per person for 4

Central Bali (Ubud) · Sunrise · 3 stops · about 12 hours

Pickup around two in the morning, two hours up an active volcano in the dark, and the sun coming up over Lombok from the crater rim. Afterwards you soak in the hot pools by the lake and finish gently with a walk through Penglipuran, an old village on the way down.

The trip, stop by stop

  1. Mount Batur Sunrise Trek

about 300 minutes · before dawn · Rp 550.000 per guest

Your driver waits outside here; you go in on your own.

A two hour climb in the dark to the crater rim of an active volcano, timed to reach the top as the sun comes up over Lombok. Pickup is around two in the morning and a local guide walks with you. Takes the whole first half of the day, so it counts as two stops.

  2. Batur Hot Spring

about 90 minutes · Rp 200.000 per guest

Your driver waits outside here; you go in on your own.

Terraced hot pools on the shore of Lake Batur, fed by the volcano and looking straight across the water at the crater. Towels and lockers are there. The usual stop after a sunrise trek, and just as good on a cold wet day.

  3. Penglipuran Village

    about 75 minutes

A village kept to its old plan: one paved lane up the hill, identical gates on both sides, and a bamboo forest behind. Families still live here and some open their kitchens to visitors. Cool air, no traffic, easy walking.

    Rain plan If it rains:

This trip uses 4 of your 4 slots. Lunch is a stop too, but it does not use a slot.

Highlights
